Review #3 - Frit Ravich Chips - Paprika - Potato Crisps - (Spain)

Image
Next up to review and finish the last bag of crisps I brought back from Spain, It’s The  Frit Ravich Chips in Paprika flavour. Whenever I see a bag of Paprika flavour crisps, I always try to grab some as I really like the flavour combination of the paprika and potato. First off, the packaging.  The packaging is okay, nothing too special, but the orange and green colours are vibrant making these easy to spot on the shelves. Then finished with a red and green bell pepper, and a bowl of the crisps itself. Amongst opening these, I did notice that there wasn’t much of a strong smell coming from the bag. I wouldn’t say they smelt bland, but just not that strong. The crisps itself are quite yellow / orange, and the way the crisps were cut sort of reminded me of your standard Walkers crisps, which is good as I love Walkers. The flavour of the crisps is nice, they definitely have a taste of paprika, but it’s pretty toned down if im honest, and not overpowering. I would usually say, per...

Review #2 - Totas Gourmet Estilo Artesanal - Sabor Barbacoa - Potato Crisps - (Spain)

Next up, still following on from the first review, we have another bag of Spanish crisps. This time it's a bag from Totas Gourmet Estilo Artesanal, with the flavour "Sabor Barbacoa". I think these were around or just over 2 euros the for the bag, which is a great price considering these are a pretty big bag. When I was in spain 2 years ago, I brought home a packet of crisps which were outstanding, If I remember rightly I think they were pepper flavour or something?, and i'm pretty sure it was the same brand, so I definitely had high hopes for these ones. Firstly, the packaging. The packaging has a great colour to it, and is very eye-catching. I think the flame-grilled steak on the front of the bag is what drawed me to these. Amongst opening the bag, there was a slight hint of barbecue flavour, but not overly powering. The first thing I noticed when buying these is that they are crinkle cuts. The crisps do feel and look a lot like Seabrooks crinkle cuts crisps we get h...

Review #1 - Lays 3D Bugles - Bacon Flavour - (Spain)

Image
Hello! Welcome to my first snack review, I hope to post frequently of food & drink products that I come across, UK based and Globally Starting off with a classic snack I just picked up from my holiday in Spain, Lays bugles. These crisps have been around for years, and don’t seem to have changed a bit since I first tried them many years ago. The packaging has a see through bit to the bag so you can see the cone shaped corn snacks inside, and does stand out. Hence the name, “Bugles” they do look a lot like the instrument, well, sort of. The snack itself has a very unique scent, which at first may be hard to distinguish, but it is infact bacon, or jamon as the Spanish say. They have a nice crunch, and are also have a nice texture to them. A unique design. Overall, in conclusion, I have had these many times before, and they never seem to change, so if you're looking for a good snack that you can always rely on, I would definitely say the Lays Bugles are a great choice.
